Lead Wars is a unique turn-based pencil and paper war game where skill is just as important as strategy.
Play single player against the CPU, two-player on the same device, or sign-in to Game Center and play online head-to-head against people from around the world!
Lead Wars simulates a pencil and paper war game that you can actually play on a real piece of paper, the likes of which were popular in the days before portable gaming devices. You control a fleet of planes, tanks and artillery units around a hand-drawn battlefield on a piece of paper, making long curve shots and strategic moves to try and outwit and out-skill your opponent.
The aim of the game is to simply wipe out all your opponent's units. Each player takes it in turns to move their choice of units around and fire shots at their opponent with the limited number of moves and shots they have. Watch your online opponent looking around the map and making their moves in real time!
It's a Universal app, and on the iPad it makes a great tabletop two-player war game, but it plays just as well pass-n-play on iPhone and iPod touch, and makes full use of the Retina Display where available.

Unique Gameplay Mechanic!
To make your move, you press down on the top of a pencil perpendicular to the paper. Then, still pressing down you tilt the pencil to make the tip slip away leaving a mark on the page. This mark determines your move or shot on the battlefield.
In Lead Wars it simulates this mechanic using the touch screen as if your finger is holding the top of the pencil and you play as if you're playing it for real. The best thing about playing it on your iOS device though is you're not having to rub out your previous moves and there's no arguments as to whether a shot hit or not, and no dangerous flying pencils! The physical action required to make your move really makes it fun and very rewarding, particularly when you make that near-impossible curve shot around a wall to win the game!
